Loamy and clayey soils with a fair percentage of sand. The 2018 vintage was characterised by favourable weather that allowed the grapes to ripen optimally. With the harvest in the first half of October, the timing of the variety was respected. Vinification: The selected grapes were destemmed, crushed and fermented in steel tanks. Maceration lasted approximately 10 days at a maximum temperature of 30°C. Malolactic fermentation was completed before the end of winter. It matures for at least 24 months in barriques. Tasting: Pale garnet red colour. Complex and broad nose, with pleasant sensations of rose petals, red fruits and spicy notes. The palate is full, very well balanced with velvety tannins. Combinations: To enjoy a good Barolo you don't need elaborate dishes, its natural elegance perfectly matches the simplicity of a Fassona tartare, a first course with Borgotaro porcini mushrooms or the classic and inimitable fried egg with truffle.
