Spring was mild until the month of May, which saw a marked change in climate, with a drop in temperature and very heavy rainfall. The summer was also rather temperate, with several downpours, which allowed us to delay the harvest by at least 15 days. This weather pattern continued throughout September, with mild temperatures during the day and cool at night, favouring a good ripening of the bunches. The result is satisfactory and confirms the development of previous vintages, with very elegant wines.Harvest start: 22 August End of harvest: 28 September Rainfall (Sum of rainfall from 1/4 to 30/9): 273 mm Temperature index (Sum of daily average temperature from 1/4 to 30/9): 4130 °C Rating: Good Find out more: To find out more about Sicilian wines, products Torrisis and the culinary traditions of Sicily, we recommend you visit our blog, full of interesting and overwhelming articles recounting its many facets.
