Bricco dei guazzi - Moscato d`Asti docg Format: Glass bottle 75cl Bricco dei guazzi - Moscato d`Asti docg - Data sheet Grapes: Muscat Grape yield: 90 qli/ha Origin: Hills of lower Piedmont, between Castagnole delle Lanze and Guazzolo d'Asti Breeding method: Guyot espalier Planting density: on average 4,500 plants per hectare Vintage: 2023 – First vintage: 2021 Analytical data: Alcohol 5.5% vol Longevity: 1-2 years Land: Clayey-calcareous marls, originating from the presence of the ancient Po Valley sea. Vinification: Vinification takes place with destemming and cold maceration for 24 hours. This is followed by pressing in a low-pressure vertical press to obtain the must, which is fermented in steel at a controlled temperature: although not sparkling, the wine obtained is characterised by a slight natural fizz. Tasting: The colour is a brilliant straw yellow with golden reflections. The perlage is fine and the mousse persistent. The nose is intense and delicate, releasing a mixture of fruity (yellow peach and apricot), aromatic (musky aroma typical of the Muscat Blanc grape) and floral (hints of orange blossom, wisteria and lime) essences. In the mouth it is sweet, soft, fresh, aromatic and slightly effervescent. Combinations: This wine holds the record when it comes to sensory intensity: it possesses a very rich aromatic heritage already in the bunch of grapes, which with careful vinification is found for consistency in the glass. A dessert wine, it goes very well with fresh and dry pastries, to desserts filled with custard, to Easter and Christmas leavened pastries.
